About Holm Room
John Holm Laubser was born and bred in Klipheuwel, in the Malmesbury district, on the farm Oortmanspost, where he farmed with wheat, cattle and sheep. Being the eldest son he had to make place for his brothers on Oortmanspost , so acquired the farm Uitsig, where he farmed with vines, dairy and other crops. He built the Blydschap house for his retirement.
The Holm room has southern views and looks on to False Bay in the distance. The little Juliette balcony overlooks well manicured vineyards. The bed can be separated to make two single beds.
